Under the Licensing Act 2003, anyone authorising the retail sale of alcohol will have to hold a personal licence. In order to qualify for a personal licence, an applicant must hold a licensing qualification. This qualification is both QCA accredited and Government approved, and has been specifically designed to meet the statutory requirements of the Licensing Act 2003

Tutor Led
A one-day NCPLH training course. Prior to the commencement of the course you are required to complete self-directed study using the comprehensive course handbook. The methods of training consist of discussion, group work and trainer guidance.
Fast Track
A great flexible alternative to our tutor led NCPLH courses. Fast Track a self study - exam only programme, you have the support of a tutor, whom you may contact by email or telephone. giving you the convenience and benefits of studying when and how it suits you. You will have to attend a centre to sit the exam. In London the exam can be taken on any Wedensday or Saturday.

This course covers the syllabus set by the Government, to enable candidates to understand the law in relation to:
a.The roles, responsibilities and functions of licensing authorities within the framework of the licensing objectives.
b.The application process for a personal licence.
c.The role and legal responsibilities of the personal licence holder, and the penalties relating to failure to comply with the law.
d.The premises licence.
e.The content and purpose of operating schedules.
f.The role and duties of the designated premises supervisor.
g.Unauthorised licensable activities.
h.Permitted temporary licensable activities.
i.Rights of entry to licensed premises.
j.Police powers with regard to suspension and closure of licensed premises.
k.The specific prohibitions for the sale of alcohol.
l.The strengths of alcoholic drinks, and the effects of alcohol on the human body.
m.The protection of children from harm.
n.The responsible retail sale of alcohol.
